One of the Fort Institute of Photography’s first projects is running a reading room dedicated to photography in Fort Mokotow, Warsaw. The reading room was created to fill a necessary gap and allow the public to have greater access to a large collection of photo books that are often expensive and not readily available.
This is the only place of its kind in Poland – open to everyone who is interested and gives free access to over 1000  albums, photobooks, and theoretical works about photography. You can find almost anything in the collection – from albums with photos of Alfred Stieglitz  to the latest Polish photographic books.
Most of the collection is made up of contemporary books. The collection will be regularly updated with new entries.
The reading room’s online catalogue is available here.
