Project development workshop with Erik Vroons
Workshop dates: May 22-23 (10:00-13:00 / 14:00 - 18:00)
Location: Instytut Fotografii Fort, Racławicka 99, building #01
Fee: 840 PLN
Application deadline: May 10th
This 2 day workshop will help photographers in the midst of a work in progress to elevate their artistic ‚voice’, in order to take further steps towards a final presentation.
The angle from which to visualize the subject of choice is essential in this matter and will therefore be discussed in detail. Where is your project going to land and how exactly? What forms and formats will you apply and how exactly are these fitting your initial idea for the project? These are the kind of questions we aim to tackle.
Ultimately, edits of the projects brought to the table – and for which participants are expected to write a matching, concise but clearly articulated artist statement – will come together in a collective ‚zine’. (and become available for individual usage, e.g. personal website / grant applications / ‚open calls’, etc.)
Day 1: Introduction: presentation of personal projects + group discussion (e.g strategic outline for various platforms to stage final results: exhibition, book, web application etc; / first round of editing + writing of artist statement;
Day 2: Finalizing artist statement / Final round of editing and work towards design of portfolio for the collective magazine. All participants will receive a copy afterwards. Technical assistance will be available during this day.
